Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" the American as the combatants confronted each other to publicize the upcoming bout.
Ex twice unified title holder Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
Despite such comments, a relaxed Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually recognized for his theatrics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou declined a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Fighter
In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the novice remains one of boxing's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving huge financial rewards.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.
Physical Difference
As both boxers met for the traditional stare-down, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is truly proceeding.
